That's Showbiz is built to be inclusive, fair, and fun while still being competitive.
We know that not every dance school trains the same way. Some rehearse once a week. Others train multiple times a week.
That difference matters.
Why We Use Levels
Starting in the 2024/25 season, we introduced our updated level system to make sure every routine is assessed fairly and placed where it belongs. As we head into the third year of this system, it continues to give schools clarity, confidence, and room to grow.
We have now added Shine as part of this structure.
Our Four Levels Explained
Shine is the standard starting point at That's Showbiz. It allows teams of all backgrounds to take part in the full Showbiz experience in a supportive, encouraging environment, while still being assessed fairly.
From there, routines may progress into:
- Spotlight
- Elevate
- Prestige
These levels reflect progression, development, and performance standard, not labels placed on schools or dancers.
You Do Not Choose a Level
There is no pressure to decide where you fit.
Each routine is assessed by our judges and placed into the level that best suits it, based on set criteria. Standards can vary within a level, but this system ensures routines are competing against others of a similar standard and have the opportunity to progress year after year.
What Matters Most
At That's Showbiz UK, the focus is on:
- Enjoying the experience
- Competing with purpose
- Growing with confidence
- Progressing at the right pace
Whether a routine begins in Shine or reaches Prestige, every team is valued, supported, and given the chance to shine on stage.
